The Law of Similars: Let like be cured with like.
Homeopathy is a holistic healing modality that is both a science and an art, that is both powerful and natural. Homeopathic remedies safe to use--they are prepared from natural sources and are prepared in extremely small amounts. They are non-toxic, non-addictive and can be used with infants, children, and adults. Homeopathy can create profound and significant changes in a person, a family, and in turn, the greater community. Samuel Hahnemann coined the term Homeopathy over 200 years ago, although the principles on which it is based have been utilized in healing for thousands of years. Since its inception, homeopathy has benefited people from all walks of life and of any age, in countries all over the world.
The Law of Similars
Homeopathy is based on the universal principle that "like cures like", or "that which makes sick shall heal". In 1796, Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician, chemist and linguist coined the term Homeopathy from Latin, which means "similar suffering."
For example, suppose a person has hay fever, with watery eyes and burning nasal discharge. Whereas an antihistamine would suppress the symptoms, the remedy Allium Cepa (made from red onion), prepared in a high homeopathic dilution, would stimulate the healing process through the Law of Similars. Suppose a person can't sleep because of an overactive mind: Coffea (made from the coffee bean) could naturally promote a restful sleep.
Hippocrates stated that there are two ways to cure: by opposites and by similars--and that the way of similars is preferable. Hahnemann, 2000 years later, was well aware of the law of similars and devoted his life to discovering the true nature of disease and healing. He ingeniously created the science and art of Homeopathy as we know it today.
The Vital Force
Homeopathy is vitalistic medicine--it influences the Vital Force, otherwise known as the Qi (Chi) in Chinese Medicine, or the Prana in Ayurvedic (Indian) Medicine.
In Quantum Physics, it is known as the Electro-Magnetic Field.
The Vital Force is an invisible, immaterial, yet dynamic force which animates the physical body. It is the unifying factor of a person; it represents a synergistic whole which is greater than the sum of its parts.
The homeopathic remedy stimulates the Vital Force, to promote a healing response in a person. Once the Vital Force is stimulated, the person’s own immune system can easier find a the path to a health.
“The essence of illness is a disorder of the Vital Force.”
Samuel Hahnemann, founder of Homeopathy

Totality of Symptoms
Homeopathic remedies are indicated based on a person’s overall unique
state. Physical, mental, and emotional states are all thoroughly examined. Homeopathy is holistic--the whole person is observed, rather than see as unrelated parts and illnesses.
Very often, different remedies are given to different people for the same illness, based on individuals’ particular physical, mental, and emotional symptoms. For example, 10 people with eczema may need 10 different remedies, depending on the particulars of their overall state.
Once the homeopath observes the pattern in the client, then a remedy can be found which matches that pattern. The person takes the remedy, the Vital Force is stimulated, and the healing process ensues.
Less is more
Homeopathy is incontestably one of the safest healing therapies in the world today because of its use of the minimum dose (sometimes referred to as infinitesimal dose). Concurrently homeopathy is possibly the most effective healing therapy in the world today for healing people from chronic conditions because of the use of the minimum dose. With minimum doses there is no toxic destruction to the individual from the therapy. The vitality of the individual is never weakened by use of an infinitesimal amount of a remedy, unlike most modern drugs. As Samuel Hahnemann (The father of modern homeopathy) developed homeopathy he found that because of the use of the “Law of Similars” the dosage could be extremely small to be successful.
The smaller the amount of actual substance used, as a remedy creates a surprisingly stronger, deeper, longer, and more profound healing response. This is unquestionably the hardest concept in homeopathy to be understood and accepted, especially by western medical institutions, because it is the antithesis of how western drugs are used. Remember western drugs and therapies are used to dominate the body into submission and suppression with the use of large quantities. And, more force is seemingly better. Homeopathic remedies are used to stimulate the body’s own healing powers to heal itself with the least necessary quantity presented.
